Danelectro Dan O' Wah Reviews 4

Well, I bought this for 99 bucks at a local music store. I bought it because I thought it sounded good.

I've read other reviews and a lot of people said it sucked, it was crappy, and just not a good buy. Boy did they disgrace the hell out of it. Only a few said it was good. I think it depends on what type of equipment you have. I have a B.C. Rich NJ Warlock with Dimarzios on it and I've got an RP50 with a JCM 800 and a Peavy. This pedal works really good probably because of the pick-ups. (Dimarzio kicks ass screw EMG's). The 6 wahs are good enough for me. I'd prefer a Morley but it's a good pedal for right now. Anyway, the wah's are good and the octave give it a better sound. I'm more into leading playing, virtuoso stuff like Jason Becker, Vinnie Moore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Marty Friedman, Alex Skolnick, and Joe Satriana type of stuff and this pedal handles really well. A Morley would be better though, i'll get one soon. Pedal does ok when it comes to Arpeggios but I let the Dimarzios take care of that.

The Distortion sounds like crap. Wah's good, Distortion bad. It's hard to change from each wah while playing while your standing up. It's made from plastic have to be really carefull.

The construction is heavy duty plastic but still I'm afraid of dropping it or stomping on it to hard. Quality is good for 99 bucks. Good Wah's god looks.

I think it depends on your equipment first of all. The pedal works really good with my rig so it depends on yours, most likely the pick-ups. The wahs are good and it's a decent pedal, not to mention the looks.(Pretty sharp) The Distortion sucks, it's maybe good for like one of those new crappy bands like The Vines or something. There music sucks anyways.
